Is Your Cup Half Full or Half Empty? What's your attitude toward others? Do you pass out more compliments...or do you make more complaints? Do you find strengths in others...or do you see only weaknesses? Do you build up...or tear down? Are others encouraged and uplifted by your comments...or are they discouraged, maybe hurt or offended? Are you part of the problem...or part of the solution? If you often find yourself being critical of others, two suggestions are made. First, read Matthew 7:2. Remember the promise that YOU will be judged with the same yardstick you use for others. Is your life so perfect that you want to be judged with demanding strictness ...or do you yearn for grace, mercy, understanding, and forgiveness? Secondly, as a discipline tool, try this. For every negative thing you say, you must publicly say five POSITIVE things about the same person or same thing. Try it. It can create an awareness that might make your cup half-full! Do everything without complaining…you shine like stars in the universe. Philippians 2:14-15
