SUPER SUNDAY January 28, 2001, is "Super Sunday." What will make it so super? Actually, several things will. First of all, folks all over the world are eagerly anticipating "Super Sunday." It is amazing how excited people can get about what will take place on a Sunday. Secondly, people will get together in small groups as well as large crowds to participate in the day's activities. They will gather as families, friends and even strangers to share in one event that somehow tears down all the walls that separate us. Thirdly, there's the food. What's Super Sunday without super food. It will be amazing how much serious thought will go into just preparing the food. Finally, there will be a mixture of celebration and sorrow-depending, of course, on whose side you're on. Some people will meet Monday filled with pride and zeal. Others will face a Monday filled with sadness and despair. Amazing, isn't it? All of this and more takes place on Sunday, January 28, 2001. But then again, it happens every Sunday that Christians gather to worship and honor the Savior who died for them and to examine their own response to that sacrifice. I hope you'll be in one of those spiritual families on that Sunday. By the way, I think there's some type of ballgame later that day. But it's hard to focus of that with such "super" events happening at church. Maybe I'll just see you on "Super Sunday." I hope so. God Bless, Les (Leslie S. Chapman)
